Damask Standard is by far the most universal and popular weave, with this type of label we can achieve any colour base or logo (we try to match to pantone where possible) we offer all types of fold with this label, all edges are heat sealed to prevent fraying, Damask label is made from synthetic yarns and where possible we can offer a label using recycled yarns. This label is used mainly in the fashion industry due to the high end finish it.
This label has the highest finish available by any woven label, the difference between a standard Damask label and the HD label is quite substantial, we use yarns of a lighter denier but double the amount of warp threads giving a very detailed finish, mainly used by the very high end fashion houses.
Typically a soft shiny face with a dull back, the label is what we call a warp faced weave with a white (silver shine) or black base, the logo or brand can be produced in any colour(s) the weft will show binding points as it is woven into the face of the label. A satin label is used for products such as evening gowns, lingerie, wedding dresses, Suits etc.
A crisp 1x1 weave. It is a light, plain weave normally associated with craft items. However, it’s great for recreating retro clothing from the 60’s to the 80’s and more.
Typically used for neck labels on the back of jumpers and T-Shirts, the label is folded in the middle and sewn into the top seam of the garment.
Usually a rectangular label with the two shortest ends folded over, these are sewn through on each side onto the garment.
A flat label that is sewn flush to the garment around all 4 edges.
Manhattan fold Is a label with the combination of a loop fold and a hem fold, so three folds this gives a clean look to a label that mostly goes onto the outside of the product i.e bottom of a T-shirt or the sleeve.
A long rectangular label with 45 degree folds at each end, the label is sewn onto the garment via the folded tabs.
Centre Fold or (loop fold) is where a label is folded in half. This is by far the most popular fold, the label can have information on both sides, typically a logo on the front and care instructions on the back.
Hem Fold is a label that has a fold at the top and bottom of the label and is typically used on the hem of a garment, the fold gives a little more fabric allowing sewing to be more secure.
Most woven labels are sewn directly into garments. In some situations it is not possible to sew directly onto a garment, in this case we can add a special backing so that the woven labels can either be permanently ironed (Iron-On Backing) or temporarily stuck (Self-Adhesive Backing) to the garment. Backing can only be applied to flat labels with no folds.
A high tack self adhesive backing that can be applied to the back of the woven label. This would be for uses where the woven label would be applied temporarily.
An industrial strength hot melt adhesive backing that can be applied to the back of the woven label. Woven labels can then be securely applied to garments with a heat press or iron, where the special backing bonds firmly with the target garments fibres.
