Before you call…what you need to know before you order your labels
The mood boards you’ve been working on for the last few months have come to life: the models have been cast, the fabrics found and the last button stitched into place. You’ve even sorted the playlist for the catwalk show. It’s a fantastic feeling knowing that the hard work is over and you can sink into bed because everything has been taken care of. But it’s often at this point that designers wake in the night in a panic upon realising they’ve forgotten to order their labels!
Stand out from the competition
The truth is, labels are an essential part of brand identity. They are a simple way to give your collection a touch of togetherness and can make any garment look professional. Labels can say so many things: whether you want to use a wash label to make sure your products are looked after, or want to support the UK textiles industry with some ‘Made in Britain’ branding.
We’re here to help
With over 50 years of industry experience, you can rest easy when ordering your labels from us. Designer to designer, we know you’ll have hundreds of things to think about in the run up to a collection launch or show. We wanted to make the ordering process even more straightforward and simple, so you can get back to sketching and stitching.
With help from our design team, we’ve put together all the things you need to know before you give us a call or email, so that we can make sure your quote is as accurate as possible
What type of product the label will end up on
This gives us an idea of size and helps us to suggest the types of material best suited to your label.
What size you need the label to be
We can then give you ideas of dimensions, so you can visualise your label from your first phone call.
What colours you want the label to be
Once we know your design, we can start to guide you through the manufacturing process and the different techniques involved.
After we’ve discussed the above specifications, we can move on to the all important final question – how many do you need?
So there we have it, our simple and easy guide to ordering your labels. What are you waiting for? Get in touch, we’d love to talk ideas with you!
